The operator is the Seller shown on the app's App Store product page. Include your device model, iOS version, affected screen, and reproduction steps. Do not send passwords, translated text, or payment information.

Common checks
The keyboard doesn't appear
iOS uses the system keyboard in secure fields, such as password fields, and in apps that prohibit third-party keyboards. Try a standard text field.
Do previous standalone and add-on purchases unlock both Pro features?
If you have at least one valid paid Pro, standalone, add-on, or bundle purchase, the advertising-enabled update gives you both Pro features at no additional charge. Restore Purchases with the same Apple Account; do not buy again. Free trials retain their original features and expiry and remain separate from permanent purchases.
I don't want to enable Full Access
Ordinary typing and direct keyboard translation, including the free version, do not require Full Access. Neither does reading an already saved trial or purchase status. Full Access is used to share language settings and to let the keyboard write translation requests and exchange text with the main app. When it is off, the keyboard uses its locally saved language settings.
The app asks me to download language data
Open Translation Languages in the main app and choose your source and target languages. If a download is needed, connect to a reliable network, use the language-model download button, and follow Apple's instructions. The download cannot start from inside the keyboard. After preparation, return to the keyboard and recheck readiness. With Full Access off, manually select the same source and target languages in the main app as on the keyboard. Your translation text is not sent to a developer server.
My Pro purchase isn't shown
Reload purchase information in Plans in the main app, then use Restore Purchases if needed. Confirm the App Store is signed in with the Apple Account used for the purchase. Ads stop while status is being checked or restoration fails. Free short-text translation, ordinary typing, source recovery, and saved histories remain available.
My previous free trial ended
An active 14-day trial retains both features; an active 7-day screen-only trial retains its feature and expiry. Afterward, both translation features remain free up to 500 characters per request. Choose one-time Pro if you need longer text. There are no automatic charges or renewals, and restoration with the same Apple Account does not restart the trial. Source text and histories are preserved.
The keyboard asks me to open the main app
The main app may be needed to prepare language data or check the meaning of Japanese text. Open it as instructed, finish the steps, and return to your original text field. Review the translation and insertion position before applying it. Requests and results passed between the app and keyboard expire after at most 15 minutes. If one has expired, start a new request from the keyboard.
I want to translate dictated text
Use the globe key to switch to the standard iOS keyboard and dictate into your text field. Finish dictation, review and select the completed text, then switch back to Translation Keyboard to translate it. Dictation availability depends on your iOS settings, device, and language. For long text, select the source in your text field or use the draft editor on the keyboard.
I cannot type characters for my source language
Built-in layouts include Japanese romaji and kana input, Latin-alphabet QWERTY, Chinese Pinyin, Korean, and Arabic. Choose the source language in the keyboard and switch the input method when needed. For a language or input method without a built-in layout, or if the Pinyin dictionary cannot load, use the globe key to switch to your usual iOS keyboard. Type and select your text, then return to Translation Keyboard. Input-layout support and available translation pairs are separate; check translation availability in the main app.
What are the free and Pro character limits?
Both translation features are free up to 500 characters per request; Pro supports up to 10,000. There is no request limit. The limit applies to the entire selected source text, which is never silently truncated. Draft editing, source recovery, and saved histories remain available. A separate data-size limit also applies.
Must I view ads or answer the age choice to translate?
No. Translation does not depend on advertising consent, ad display, or answering the age choice. In 1.2.1, eligible banners may appear on Home, How to use and the screenshot introduction. A frequency-limited full-screen ad may appear on a manual return Home after a completed task. Input, region selection, translation, results and purchase screens have no ads. Choose Under 18 or prefer not to answer in Advertising preferences to stop new ad requests. When required, Change advertising consent in Privacy lets you review consent. See the Privacy Policy for Google's data handling.
Can I translate a long screenshot for free?
In 1.2.1, manually selected images in the main app have an optional allowance of up to 10,000 characters for 3 images per local device day. If ads are available, choose to view after the explanation; if not, the same allowance works without ads or changing settings. Cancelling before earning does not use an allowance. Failed translation of the same unlocked image and language pair can be retried without another ad. The usual free 500-character translation has no request limit. This optional allowance does not apply to Shortcuts.
Translate content on screen
- Open Screen Translation, choose source and target languages, and download the required language data.
- Use Set Screen Position to mark where the text you want translated appears on the device screen. Do not choose a photo. Running the shortcut before setting a position also opens that setup in the app.
- To move around a large image, choose Scroll at the top left. Return to Select area to outline the text. Use Fine-tune to adjust the position and size, then Back to image to check the selection.
- Use Add Shortcut to add Screen Translate, then assign it to Run Shortcut in Control Center.
- Run it while viewing the content you want to translate. It hides Control Center, waits one second, and captures one screenshot. The selected crop is translated on device and its history opens in the app.
No screen recording or saving to Photos is needed. To create it manually, add Hide Control Center, Wait (1 second), Take Screenshot, and Translate Screenshot Region in that order. Connect the captured image to the final action. You confirm Apple's installation and OS permissions yourself.
Images with a different orientation or aspect ratio require region setup again. If an app or text position changes while keeping the same aspect ratio, change the region yourself. Keep notifications and other content clear of the text. Search histories, move them into folders, or delete individual or multiple histories. Deleting a folder leaves its histories unfiled.
Compatibility
- iPhone or iPad running iOS 26 or later
